First Capoeira Club Meeting of 2008

So if all goes well, we’ll have our first meeting this Thursday the 24th at 7pm in the Aerobics Room just like last semester.

I hope everyone can make it!

Anyone who has ever wanted to try it out, please feel free to come to class and give it a shot.  You won’t be disappointed.

First Meeting Tuesday Sept. 18th!

Well we’ve finally got the schedule figured out and finalized.  It was a pain in the ass, but hopefully what we’ve come up with will work for everyone.

The club will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7pm – 8pm. 

Like the title says, the first class will be next Tuesday, the 18th.  I’m very excited, and I hope to see everyone come back.  Also, tell your friends, and bring some newcomers.  We’ll all be starting fresh, and this is the best time for new members to join in.

I can’t wait to see y’all next week, it’s gonna be a good time.

Back to School

I hope you are all having fun going back to school and classes and whatnot.  I’m jealous. 

So far I’m not sure of when we’ll be meeting.  We still have to finalize the times.  I will post the new schedule up here as soon as I hear anything about it.

In the meantime, you can still practice on your own, or get together whenever the aerobics room is free.  Or even go outside and practice on the grass.  Just to get back into the flow and remember everything you probably forgot over the summer.

You can also brush up on your capoeira history and whatnot, go have a look at my Capoeira Blog for all sorts of good discussion and information.  And while you’re at it, join Capoeira Espaco, a social network for capoeiristas.

A Couple of New Videos

Yeah, I was kind of productive today. I used up the rest of the clips that I had to make a couple of random videos. We gotta make some new ones next year! Here you go Laura.

I hope everyone’s summer is going well.  I can’t wait to get started again in the fall!

Laura yelled at me and said I need to make a new video, I will get on that soon!  I still have some leftover footage I can cut together to make a good one, so stay tuned.

Well it’s the beginning of July now, I won’t be seeing any of you for another two months or so, but I’m excited.  CapuraGinga has a batizado in September, maybe a group of you guys can come down!
